Abraham said to his servants, “Settle down and stay here with the donkey; the young man and I will go over there and worship [God], and we will come back to you.” [Heb 11:17-19] Then Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and laid it on [the shoulders of] Isaac his son, and he took the fire (firepot) in his own hand and the [sacrificial] knife; and the two of them walked on together. And Isaac said to Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Isaac said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself a lamb for the burnt offering.” So the two walked on together.

The God Provides series offers a rich, dramatic journey through theater-quality, short films which show us wisdom, truth, encouragement and practical steps to deepen a relationship of trust with God. This session highlights the true story of Abraham and Isaac, his son. God used this test of obedience to see whether or not Abraham trusted Him fully and would, in faith, obediently make everything he had available for God’s use.
Every Spring, we celebrate Christ’s coming forth from the grave after three days in a tomb. Many of us, however, struggle with a loss of a sense of wonder at the resurrection. In our coolness, Scripture offers us other third-day stories that parallel Christ’s resurrection, casting light on the significance of Easter and warming our affections to its realities.
Are you willing to fully trust God, even if it meant giving up your most prized possessions? Through the story of Abraham, we’ll explore the blessings that come with surrendering everything to God and trusting in His provision – and how the results of our obedience are far greater than anything we could hold onto. Get started today!
The names of God are one of the most beautiful, yet often overlooked, part of scripture. When we call upon the names of God as generations have before us, we address Him in such a way that reveals what we need in that particular moment. Join us on a 3-day journey of studying the names of God, specifically mentioned in the song "Names" from Ben Laine.
