Exodus 2:21-25

Exodus 2:21-25 AMP

Moses was willing to remain with the man, and he gave Moses his daughter Zipporah [to be his wife]. She gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom (stranger); for he said, “I have been a stranger in a foreign land.” Now it happened after a long time [about forty years] that the king of Egypt died. And the children of Israel (Jacob) groaned and sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out. And their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God. So God heard their groaning and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). [Gen 12:1-3; 15:18-21; 17:3-8, 21; 35:10-12] God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice [of them] and was concerned about them [knowing all, understanding all, remembering all]. [Ps 56:8, 9; 139:2]
