Daniel 5:28-30

‘PERES’—your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.” Then Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel was clothed with purple and a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation concerning him was issued [declaring] that he now had authority as the third ruler in the kingdom. During that same night Belshazzar the [last] Chaldean king was slain [by troops of the invading army].
