2 Samuel 8:13-14

So David made a name for himself upon his return from defeating eighteen thousand Arameans in the Valley of Salt. He set up garrisons in Edom. Throughout all of Edom, he set up garrisons, and all of Edom became subject to David. The LORD helped David wherever he went.
