Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you.

If you feel like you’re on the losing end of sin, and shame has you hiding out in the basement of life, God has a plan for you to win and the power to pull it off. It’s time to put to death those sins that have been killing you. In this four-day study, you’ll learn about God’s strategy for dealing with sin and living in freedom.
BibleProject designed this plan to help individuals, families, and groups reflect on the biblical concept of sin. What is wrong, and what is right? And how does the Bible define sin? We look at three Hebrew words used for sin in the Bible and examine how sin is not only something we do but also something that happens to us—a force that we can choose to rule over.
As Christians, we accept Jesus’ death and resurrection as the first step to our salvation and then seek a new life that glorifies God and helps build His Kingdom. Often easier said than done, right? In this study, we take a look at 3 sneaky sins that seem to keep coming back. Read to see how you can ensure these are not in the way of your salvation!
