Deuteronomy 16:18

War, famine, disease; there are a lot of things in this world that are unsettling. While the solutions aren't always so clear to us, God's Word can be a frequent reminder that everything is under God's control and that in the end, he will bring justice to all who have been oppressed.

This 16-day plan will walk you through the book of Deuteronomy by reading a short passage daily. In light of the Gospel, the promise of heart-circumcision is fulfilled in Jesus, who gives us the Spirit to love God and walk in his ways.

Deuteronomy represents the precipice between Israel's wilderness journey and their conquest to come. As God draws his people into the promised land, Moses explains and amplifies the covenantal relationship between Yahweh and his people. By calling them to obedience, Moses looks forward to the day that Israel will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth.
