Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.” About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.

All too often, we separate our physical life from our spiritual one. “Walk Fit. Walk Worthy.” integrates the physical with the spiritual through Prayer Walking. This plan shows us how to walk worthy of Christ in our commitment, conduct, and character.
We know that the world and culture we live in offer competing claims against God’s direction and intention for his people. Which will we trust and choose to follow after? Most people are of the mindset that surrendering is inherently bad. In fact, there are examples in history where a decision to never surrender ended up having major consequences. After thinking about how this manifests in a Christian's walk, there are three areas that, if we choose to surrender them to God, can help us grow in our journey with Him. Let’s dig in.
The message of the cross challenges both believers and non-believers, demanding a response. People react in three ways: Rejection, Remorse, or Repentance. Reject – Some dismiss or partially accept Jesus’ sacrifice. Remorse – Others feel guilty but remain unchanged. Repentance – True repentance moves beyond guilt to turning from sin, seeking God’s forgiveness, and allowing His grace to transform our lives.
