As Christians, we believe that God is almighty and good and that He hates evil. However, we see bad things going on all around us! This raises the question why God permits evil to happen. Why does He not intervene? This reading plan searches for answers in Bible stories about people who wrestled with these very same questions.

How foggy the path ahead must have seemed for Daniel as he and his friends were captive. Marched to a foreign land, given foreign names, told to eat foreign food, and to worship foreign gods. Let's travel with the young Daniel as he negotiates following the One True God in this foreign place. We will see ourselves through his challenges and learn how we too can follow this One True God in our own foreign context.

This is the sixth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for 1 Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter), and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
