Your suffering becomes the crucible where hope is forged when you seek Christ in it. At age 26, Katherine experienced a brain-stem stroke that left her partially paralyzed. After years of rehab, she and her husband, Jay, formed Hope Heals, a ministry to help those with broken brains and broken hearts. When we receive Jesus, He not only becomes our Savior, but He also becomes our Shepherd as well. But how often do we stray from His guidance for our own way? Is that because we don’t understand the role of a shepherd in our modern lives? In this plan, we’ll look to the Word to reflect and respond by asking Jesus to be our Soul Shepherd in these modern times.

In this 11-day plan, you will study Genesis 37-50 which will take you through the life of Jacob and his 12 sons who later became the 12 tribes of Israel. These chapters highlight the life of one of those sons, Joseph, and his journey of hardship and forgiveness. We hope you’ll learn the importance of trusting God through difficult times and learning to forgive those who hurt or disappoint you.

When we think about Joseph, one of the first things that comes to mind is DREAMER. We look at the life of Joseph and the process that he went through both spiritually and physically to get from the pit to the palace. In Joseph’s life we see the importance of God’s Timing as well as His Hand over one’s life – despite what things look like on the outside.
