And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a little” – for there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

And יהושע said to them, “A prophet is not unappreciated except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”

And having gone out, יהושע saw a large crowd and was moved with compassion for them because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. And He began to teach them many matters.

And He was unable to do any miracle there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick ones and healed them. And He marvelled because of their unbelief. And He was going around among the villages, teaching.

And taking the five loaves and the two fishes, looking up to the heaven, He blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His taught ones to set before them. And the two fishes He divided among them all. And all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve baskets, filled with pieces, also from the fishes.
