DAY 3 OF 3

Let Your Light Shine.

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5:13-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So let His light shine through you. Let every good and perfect gift shine through your actions. Let His Peace become your reputation. Let His Peace become your foundation. Let His Peace settle, rule and dwell within the borders of your heart.

Choose to establish a framework of peace with all men. Take some time and step back before you speak carelessly. Choose to assess, discern and fill your words with grace before speaking. Proverbs‬ ‭15:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ states, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” Choose to season your words with grace. Let His Peace flow from your lips. Let your soft and seasoned, grace-filled response turn away wrath. ‬‬Let His Peace establish order and direction.

Wrath stirs up confusion and peace gives clarity. Take the time to consider the consequence before you stir up strife and confusion by sowing discord. Choose to sow peace and you’ll reap God’s harvest.
