Cultivating Prayer

Pray that The River Church will continue to use effective ways to use media for the proclamation of the Gospel and to draw others to Christ.

New Church Elder

The Elders are presenting Bob Burns as a candidate to become an elder at The River Church. Per our Constitution, on 12/12/21 we began a 30-day window for anyone to express concerns about about Bob’s qualifications as an elder. You may contact the Elders by emailing elders@HitTheRiver.com.

December Blood Drive

There will be a blood drive tomorrow, December 20th, here at The River from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. You can sign up today by the fireplace, right after service is over. Or sign up online by going to donortime.com/donor/schedules.

Christmas Eve Services

Join us for a Christmas Eve Service on Friday, December 24th! We will have three family-friendly services at the following times: 2:30 p.m. 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Sunday Service on December 26th

There will only be one service on Sunday, December 26th, at 9:45 a.m. Childcare and Riverbank Kids will be provided, as usual, for that service.

Daniel Fast

On January 1st our church will be engaging in our annual 21 day “Daniel Fast.” Grab an information packet (with recipes!) in the foyer, or email Info@hittheriver.com to receive the pdf version. This is a significant way for you to grow spiritually and turbocharge your prayers!

Musicians and Audio techs needed

Do you play an instrument, love to run audio equipment, or know someone that does? We are in need of musicians to join our worship team. If you're interested, please contact our worship director to audition by emailing Mystique@hittheriver.com.

Give to reach Guatemalans for Jesus!

We are designating our entire year-end designated giving to support two Guatemalan Pastors full-time ($200/month per pastor), and any remaining money will go toward the construction of a church building in a village ($30k needed). You can give online at hittheriver.com/give and choose the dropdown box for Guatemala, OR write a check to The River, being sure it has a note designating it as a year end gift.

River Youth Christmas Party

Tonight, December 19th, our student ministry (6th-12th grade) will be finishing out 2021 with their annual Christmas Party at The River Church from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. We will be enjoying food, games, and a white elephant gift exchange together. Each student should bring a fun/silly gift ($10 or less) to exchange. It is going to be a very fun evening and we hope your student joins us. Contact Zach@hittheriver.com if you have any questions.

River Youth 2022 Summer Mission Trip to Toronto

The River Youth are heading to Canada for a mission trip to the suburbs of Toronto in the summer of 2022. While there we will be partnering with local ministries to show the love of Christ to the local people of the Toronto Suburbs. We would love your student to join us! This is going to be a phenomenal trip. Deadline to sign up is February 6th. If you have any questions, please contact Zach at zach@HitTheRiver.com.

River Youth Tween Girls Bible Study

All 6th-8th grade girls join us this winter/spring to go through the study Defined by Priscilla Shirer. We will be starting this 8 week study on identity and who we are in Christ on Sunday January 9th. We will meet during first service in the youth room. Please purchase Defined Teen Girls Bible Study book prior to the first meeting. If your tween is interested in signing up please contact Brittany McGaffin at brittany.mcgaffin@gmail.com.

Women’s Bible Study

On January 4th and 5th we will be starting our next session in the Book of Luke. The study will go through April 12th & 13th. All women are welcome to join us.
