III. FULFILLMENT OF MINISTRY
Faithfulness is saying yes to God
in ministry. It is staying aware of the Lord's Leading
It is being sensitive to the need's of people
1 Tim 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, (NKJ)
When Stanley found Livingstone, the great missionary, who spent thirty years in darkest Africa, he wanted him to come back to England with him, Livingstone refused to go. Two days latter he wrote in his dairy: March 19, my birthday. My Jesus, my king, my life, my all. I again dedicate my whole self to thee. Accept me, and grant, O gracious Father, that ere the year is gone I may finish my work. In Jesus Name I ask, Amen.
A year latter his servants found him on his knees dead.
He is coming for those who are FAITHFUL!
God is looking for a people who are dependable.
Many times in Coach Bobby Bowden’s career, he’s received letters from parents worried about their wayward sons. He always told them the same thing…get your priorities in order.
God has to be the first priority.
The second priority family.
The third priority education.
Putting God first means striving to do His will in everything.
BONUS: BEING FAITHFUL KEEPS US AUTHENTIC.
REAL GENUINE RELIABLE
Remember the phrase in the Hymn: Make Me A Blessing:
“Others will trust Him if only you prove
True, every moment you live.”
REMEMBER NOAH
He began building the ark when he was 500 years old.
He worked on the ark 120 years.
Faithful in fulfilling his call to build an ark!
What has God called you to do?
