Women’s Fall Study
Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of The Spirit is an 11-week interactive women’s Bible study of the fruit of the Spirit in the book of Galatians. Starting Tuesday's, September 13 through November 22, two times are available:
9:30am-11:30am (Child care provided in the AM by participant rotation)
6:30pm-8:30pm

This Beth Moore study will walk us through each trait listed in the fruit and encourages us to know the freedom of a Spirit-filled life. We will look at the supernatural aspects of the fruit, and that we cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on our own. Beth challenges us to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. A Spirit-filled life truly results in Living Beyond Yourself. The cost of the book is $17. You can sign up for the MORNING group here: https://hittheriver.com/events/womens-morning-study-living-beyond and the sign up for the EVENING group here: https://hittheriver.com/events/womens-evening-study-living-beyond. Any Questions please call Edna at 513-377-8647.

“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority.”

Abraham Lincoln
You have never met anyone so good — except Jesus
No one has even imagined anyone else so good.
What would you do if you suddenly came into great power — piles of money, for example?
Too Good To Be True?
We agree it’s a story
Stories always come from somewhere
Where did this story come from — if it isn’t true?
The Skeptics' Answer
A distressed “community of faith”
Trying to hold on after their Messiah got killed
Inventing a story to make it all seem real again
Passing it along by a “telephone game”…
…and getting Jesus’ moral perfection absolutely right, not just once but four times, in each of the four Gospels.

Ri-i-ight.
Eat your heart out, Mr. Shakespeare!
Barely literate fishermen inventing stories through the telephone-game technique, trying to keep their confused faith communities from falling apart, always come up with the best characters!
Actually…
The story is too good not to be true
Therefore...
worship Him
follow His other-centered example
