Have you ever been really thirsty? Do you remember a time when you just had to have a drink of water? I remember playing a game of pick-up basketball on a summer day not far from my parent's house when I was at home on a break from college. It was over 100 degrees outside, and after 30 minutes of up and down basketball, we all ran for the hose, gasping for water.

Are you "thirsty" for God? ¿Has tenido sed, alguna vez en la vida? ¿Sabes como es necesitar un trago de agua fuertemente? A good, working definition of "thirst" for God would be 'a burning desire or appetite for God's presence and God's Word." All of us get to the point when temporal things "that we can see and touch" are not enough. We long to know our Creator and to know His Word. Una buena defenición de "sed" de Dios sería "Un apetito o deseo ardiente para la presencia de Dios y la palabra de Dios". En sus argumentos para la existencia de Dios, dijo que nuestros almas tienen sed de El: "En el corazón de todo hombre existe un vacío que tiene la forma de Dios. So what do we do when we thirst for God? How do we correct this spiritual dehydration? We must obey our thirst. Entonces, ¿Qué hacemos cuando tenemos sed de Dios? ¿Cómo tratamos la desidratación espiritual? Tenemos que obedecer a nuestra sed.

"But, Pastor, I'm not thirsty for God; what's up?" If you eat junk food all day, you won’t have an appetite for solid food at mealtime. Many people try to quench spiritual thirst with temporal things.’Accept no substitute for pure water. Only Jesus can truly satisfy your thirst. "Pero Pastor, no tengo sed de Dios; ¿Qué onda?" Si comemos comida chatarra todo el día, no vamos a tener un apetito bueno para la cena. Muchos tratan de saciar su sed con cosas temporales. No aceptes ningún substituto del agua pura. Solo Cristo puede saciar tu sed.

Are you thirsty for God? Come to Jesus and drink. Worship Jesus, pray to Jesus and read His Word. ¿Tienes sed de Dios? Ve a Cristo y bebe. Adora a Cristo, ora a Cristo, y lee Su Palabra.
