Introduction:
What am I afraid of?
I. FEAR THE LORD
A. Fear is not Wrath
B. Fearing God is being aware of His encompassing power
C. Fearing God leads to Life
D. Fear leads to Rest
NCV whoever has it rests satisfied
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he
may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6 NIV
II. UNTOUCHED BY TROUBLE
A. What is trouble?
In this world you will have trouble. John 16:33 NIV
B. Why did God promise something that is not true?
C. Trouble will not touch who I am!
Conclusion:
I referred to John 16:33 earlier, “In this world you will have trouble.” Look at what Jesus said that brackets that statement. “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” How am I going to allow this to impact how I live now?
