Did you know the resurrection story is filled with doubt initially?

Matthew 28:16-17

Mark 16:14

Luke 24:11

Doubt is the bridge between our current faith and a more perfect faith.
"Doubts can arise when we feel lonely, rejected, depressed, or experience a struggle with no end in sight. Often, doubts enter into our feelings through emotional scaring from the past: maybe you suffered abuse; a parent walked out on your family; a spouse left you; or a loved one died suddenly."

Mark 9:20-24

Stop seeing doubt as a weakness and begin to see doubt as the birth pains of a deepening faith!

Jude 1:22

How do we respond to the doubts of John the Baptist?

Matthew 11:2-5

Matthew 11:10-12

How do we respond to the doubts of the Apostle Thomas?

John 20:19-27

Become comfortable living within the mysteries of God.
Mystery allows us to:
> TRUST without understanding!
> BELIEVE without comprehending!
> have FAITH without allowing doubt to overrun our life!

Hebrews 11:1

At this point, the author of Hebrews lists many men and women who lived with incredible faith - seemingly without an ounce of doubt. Spend some extra time this weekend consider these incredible stories!

Hebrews 12:1-3

In our doubt – we need to stop and ask ourselves … “what is our focus?”
> the PAIN or the provider?
> the HURT or the healer?
> the CONFUSION or the consistency of God?
> the UNCERTAINTY of our future or trust in the ONLY ANSWER?
The GREATEST GIFT we have ever been given is the resurrection: This gives me great hope and faith – and when my DOUBT wants to get loud in my head – I point to the empty tomb --- and say --- DOUBT THAT!
How do you need to lean into your DOUBTS today and allow God to SOLIDIFY your FAITH and your TRUST in HIS PLAN for you? For your children? For your parents? For your friends? For your future?
