“All through the Coronavirus pandemic, God’s people immersed themselves deeply in God’s word while in isolation, they connected with one another from a safe distance, and they prayed for one another constantly. Everyone was amazed at how God used the crisis to lead people to greater intimacy in their relationship with God, and many spiritually apathetic people were awakened to a new relationship with Jesus. A great generosity broke out among God’s people. Those who didn’t lose their jobs freely gave to those in crisis, sacrificing portions of their stimulus money and some gave even more. They couldn’t meet physically, but every day they connected with one another through facetime, google hangouts, zoom, and the countless other means available to connect human to human in that day. They watched each other eat by video and kept each other encouraged by sharing their struggles and joys day by day. Their worship increased and many unbelieving and spiritually broken people became believers and found wholeness through Jesus as they watched God’s people serve others in need and through listening to their live stream gatherings online. And the Lord was pleased with His Church.”
