Primary text: John 16:33; Colossians 1:13–14; 2:13–15

Focus:
We are continuing our sermon series on Holy Week this Sunday. Our hope is to gain a greater appreciation for each day and look for ways that we can better experience and celebrate what God has for us in each. This Sunday, we focus on Good Friday. Good Friday proclaims the atoning work of Christ to not only forgive sins but to overcome the powers of evil and death in the world. What does God want you to reflect on? Join us Sunday at 10:30am.

3. What is Good Friday? Why is it “good”?
4. What does the cross mean for our lives? What did Jesus’s sacrifice do?
5. Colossians describes Jesus triumphing over “dominion of darkness.” How does that relate to our salvation?
6. How might we impoverish our understanding of salvation if we think of it only in individual terms? What other aspects of salvation stood out for you in this Good Friday message?
7. If Jesus’s sacrifice not only forgave our sins but destroyed the power of sin, how should we live our lives?
