"Finding Hope in the Dark" (Lamentations 3:19-26)

1) Choose what we call to mind.

"Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:" (Lamentations 3:21)

The Hebrew word "call" means "to cause to return."

2) Remind ourselves of God's character.

"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

3) Wait on the Lord.

"I say to myself, 'The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.' ” (Lamentations 3:24)
