A. God has a plan for each of us...
1. God not only knows us; He plans for our future.
2. God loves you and chose you before Creation!
3. God knew you, chose you, and planned for your spiritual development.
4. God knew us in advance and planned to use everything that comes into our lives to become like Jesus!
1. God is in our past, our present, and our future and He never changes!
2. God’s time is different than our time.
4. God knows every detail and every action of our lives.
1. The plan of our salvation in Jesus was predestined before the world began!
2. The plan was for each one of us from the very beginning.
3. The plan was for each of us personally, starting with the Jews.
4. The plan was for each one of us and God is the one who draws us to Himself. When you give up your life, you will save it!
D. God’s foreknowledge and free will…
“God created things which had free will. That means creatures which can go wrong or right. Some people think they can imagine a creature which was free but had no possibility of going wrong, but I can't. If a thing is free to be good it's also free to be bad. And free will is what has made evil possible. Why, then, did God give them free will? Because free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having. A world of automata--of creatures that worked like machines--would hardly be worth creating. The happiness which God designs for His higher creatures is the happiness of being freely, voluntarily united to Him and to each other in an ecstasy of love and delight compared with which the most rapturous love between a man and a woman on this earth is mere milk and water. And for that they've got to be free.
Of course God knew what would happen if they used their freedom the wrong way: apparently, He thought it worth the risk. (...) If God thinks this state of war in the universe a price worth paying for free will -that is, for making a real world in which creatures can do real good or harm and something of real importance can happen, instead of a toy world which only moves when He pulls the strings- then we may take if it is worth paying.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Case for Christianity
“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, Thy will be done.’ All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce
1. From the beginning, God gave man the choice.
2. God offers each of us a choice with consequences.
3. God offers the choice to each of us.
4. God is waiting for our response to Him.
5. God gives us the choice to follow Him by believing.
6. God wants everyone to come to salvation.
7. God doesn't want anyone to be lost!
1. You can trust Him with your life!
2. You can trust Him with your resources!
3. You can trust Him with your future!
4. When your life is in His Hands…He will care for you!
Man’s emergency is not God’s urgency...He already planned for this and He’s got you!!
