The Garden Prayer
When Jesus began His ministry, great crowds followed Him. The more He taught and the closer to the cross He came, the more the crowds left.
Even in the Garden, three disciples fell asleep. Jesus knows soon the Father will turn His back on Him.

Take This Cup
The cup held the filth of sin.
The cup held the punishment of sin.
God had to turn His back on Jesus.
Nevertheless, Jesus took the cup.
In His humanity, He prayed with intensity.
In His divinity, He prayed with obedience.
He wrestled. He sweat drops of blood.
This tells us, Jesus is the only man that did not have to die – He chose to die!

Why?
We need to take this cup.
Thank God because He drank this cup, we drink that cup.
We drink the cup of communion because I meet Jesus here.
He takes my sin. He drinks it down.
I take His righteousness. I drink it in.

Jesus paid the way for me and you!
