(1 Corinthians 1:25) For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
(Romans 1:22-25 NLT) Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.
And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.
They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.
(Romans 1:26-32 NLT) 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires.
Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.
27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other.
Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.
30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents.
31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.
32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
Will we change the standard or will we let God change us?
(Romans 12:2 Message) Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.
Are we going to agree with the Bible on what sin is?
Or will we trust our feelings to be our guide?
(Romans 8:6 NLT) So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
Are we going to trust culture’s new norm or are we going to trust God?
(Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
(Jeremiah 6:16) This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
(Isaiah 53:6) We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way…
(1 Corinthians 13:5 LB) …Love does not demand its own way.
2. Cultivate communication.
(Proverbs 13:17) A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy envoy brings healing.
2. Cultivate communication.
3. Nourish romance.
(Proverbs 5:18-19) Rejoice in the wife of your youth… May you ever be captivated by her love.
2. Cultivate communication.
3. Nourish romance.
4. Celebrate differences.
(Mark 3:25) If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
(Proverbs 24:3 GN) Homes are built on the foundation of wisdom and understanding.

3. Nourish romance.
4. Celebrate differences.
5. Finish together.
(Malachi 2:16) So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth. “The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the LORD Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.

6. Trust God.
(Psalm 127:1) Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
