· Spiritual warfare cannot be won in the flesh
· Spiritual warfare can be lost in the flesh
· Must yield to the Spirit to fight and win this battle

I. THREE PRIMARY WORDS

A. Weapons= HOPLAN= Arms, Armor, Weapons for offensive and defensive. We need to be able to do both. We have been given all we need.
B. Warfare=STRATOS=Strategy for weapons to work there must be a divine strategy

1. Speaks of relationship; you must participate
2. Walking with Him gives us the strategy

C. Carnal=SARKOS=Flesh

1. Real spiritual weapons don’t come from the flesh
2. But they play out in the flesh
3. Flesh was never intended to fight spiritual battles

a. Fear
b. Your performance
c. Right words or actions

Rest in the finished work of Christ

II. WRESTLE IN HIS STRENGTH

A. Wrestle= Struggle contest
Satan= He lies, to you and himself

1. You must make him submit to the victory of Christ
2. Wake up and fight

B. Power of His Might

1. Power= Strength, force, dominion
2. Might= Ability, strength
3. The relationship: do it His way, his strength
4. Obedience to his commands

C. Stand= make a stand, set; to fix, to establish, be firm, permanent
