Names of the Believer (Part 2)
•Like a WORKER, we are faithful in interpreting and applying God’s Word (2 Tim. 2:14-16).
•Like a VESSEL, we are useful for the Master—set apart for his service (2:20-22).
•Like a SERVANT, we are peacemakers; doing our part to reach those who are taken captive (2:24-26)

Worker:
1-Is the Lord well pleased?
…present yourself to God as one approved
2-Is the work well done?
…a worker who does not need to be ashamed
3-Is the Word well used?
…rightly handling the Word of God

Even a common wood bucket or clay pot becomes useful when purged and made holy. The word means “to thoroughly clean out,” or “to completely purge.” For any waste bucket in the house to be used for a noble purpose, it would have had to be vigorously scoured, cleansed, and purged of all vestiges of its former filth. - MacArthur Study Bible

and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace…
"This intimates the firm and solid knowledge of the gospel in which the believer may stand firm and unmoved like soldiers in their military duty. The Roman soldiers were furnished with shoes that had cleats on the soles for this purpose." -- Spiros Zodhiates

Making sure the Word is well-used in life is more than just making sure the Word is used correctly. It’s also making sure the Word impacts your life. How do you engrain the Word into your daily life? In what ways does it impact you?
