What makes a day good?

CHURCH as God intended is COURAGEOUS

Masochism:

“Gratification gained from pain, deprivation, degradation, etc., inflicted or imposed on oneself, either as a result of one’s own actions or the actions of others, especially the tendency
to seek this form of gratification.”


Dictionary.com

3 different reasons people suffer:

1. People suffer for BEING STUPID.
2. People suffer for PERSONAL GROWTH.
3. People suffer for THE NAME OF JESUS.

PRAY daily for 4 people you know who are far from God.

INVEST in them by building real friendships with each of these people.

INVITE them to take a step toward God as He gives opportunity, boldness and clarity.

Reflection Questions:

- Do I generally avoid resistance?

- Can I think of times I have recently invited resistance for someone else’s spiritual good?

- Pray that God would make us a church that is ready to suffer for Jesus’ name!

…ask God for an opportunity to bring honor to Jesus’ name and the

…participate in the home group book study, “Letters to the Church” by Francis Chan as a companion study to the sermon series. (read chap 6)
