Our Father
From the beginning of the NT to the end , the idea of God as Father is presented so frequently that his fatherhood has become a central feature of Christianity. God is referred to as Father over 250 times in the NT and he is called Father in every book except one. None of God’s names was more constantly used by Jesus than Father. Jesus taught us to pray: “Our Father”
Jesus presents 3 aspects of God’s fatherhood.
1. God is the Father of all people and nations.
1. God is the Father of all people and nations.
2. God is the personal Father of all believers. The father-child relationship is reserved for believers and is a result of Jesus’ death and resurrection. God becomes the father of the believer through adoption. The Greek word for adoption means to be ‘placed as a son’.
3. God is the unique Father of Jesus. Jesus is often described as God’s only Son. This point to God’s unique fatherhood of Jesus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmodCyD9OM0Father’s desire is that we are always with him. That we live in an intimate close relationship with Him. Not slaving for him. Not working hard to win his approval or reward. But enjoying him and enjoying being in His home, presence and company. In the parable of the prodigal son Jesus reveals the Father’s desire for you when the father in the story speaks to the older son.
In all of us is a deep desire to be loved, adored, known, understood, accepted, affirmed and protected. Often we look for these in all the wrong places. The only person who can truly love us unconditionally like that is Father God and we need to learn how to come to Him, how to draw near to Him, how to remain in His presence.
When we have inadequate revelation of Father’s love we will go in one of these 2 directions. Sometimes we will swing between the two. We look for love and approval through hard work and striving. Or we look for love and approval from counterfeits believing like the younger son that happiness, pleasure, fulfilment and satisfaction are found elsewhere. But we need to come to the realisation that only living close to Father can meet our deepest needs.

Vine Kids
We are pleased to welcome new children and their families to Vine Church Children’s Gangs.
Our children’s Gangs are for all children from age 1 to those in Primary 7. Our Gang’s operate during the message part of the service and we enjoy bible stories, games, toys, craft, prayer, worship, snacks and lots of fun together.

The Vine church is as effective as our people. The greatness of our church relies on the heart of our people and their willingness to serve others. Our church functions because ordinary people give their time, talents and energy willingly and cheerfully to serve others.
Joining a team is an excellent way to get connected into the life of our church, make friends and help the church to grow. In fact the growth in health and size of our church depends on every member serving and “doing their own special work”:

Stronger is a night for the men of the Vine Church to come together.
Life for men can be tough and there are many challenges. Life can feel sometimes like climbing a very high mountain that can be tiring and never ending.
But you were not designed to climb your mountain alone. Climbing alone is dangerous and lonely. To successfully climb higher you need endurance, the right tools and companions.
At Stronger, we will grow stronger together as we grow, learn and share together.
