SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrews 11:1-3
1. FAITH IS BELIEVING (v1)
- It's substantial.
- It's much more objective than we usually held.

2. FAITH IS BELIEVING IN GOD (v2)
- It must be in someone or thing to have meaning.
- We see biblical faith in Hebrews 11:6
- Christian faith requires Biblical authority for meaning. (Isa 40:6-8; Psa 119:9-11; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)

3. FAITH IS BELIEVING IN GOD ENOUGH TO ACT (v3, 6)
Creation Notes: John 1:1-3
Because of "we are of this great faith", we will...
- Act on His Promises (James 2:14, 17)
- Obey His Commandments (John 15:14; 1 John 5:3)
- Accept & Trust His Word (Prov 2:1-6)
Here’s something we must accept…trust…obey…by faith.
- God is very plain: “Without faith, you cannot please God…” (Hebrews 11:6).
- There is no salvation without faith; no faith without accepting His Word. (Ephesians 2:8-9).
- Salvation must be God’s way or not at all! (John 3:3).
