Acts 2:41-42, 46-47 (ESV)
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Authentic Christianity is biblically tethered to the local church.
Individualism = focusing on your personal relationship with Jesus, while minimizing connection with a local church
Institutionalism = equating salvation and spiritual growth with church membership and church activity
Universal Church = all global believers
Local Church = believers who are in a covenant community for worship, growth, and ministry
1. Jesus is building His Church.
Matthew 16:18

2. Jesus is connected to His Church.
Acts 9:3-4

3. We are saved into the Church, which is the family of God.
1 Peter 1:3

4. God will accomplish His purposes through His Church.
Ephesians 3:10-11

5. Jesus died for His Church.
