1. Did your family go to church when you were younger? How often? How does your church attendance compare?

2. When you think about ABC, do you feel like it is your church? What makes you feel the way that you do?

3. 1 Cor. 12:12-13 “For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body.” If you are a Christian, does that make you a member of the Church? 4. Are you aware of the fact that God has gifted you for service? Does being aware of this fact change anything for you? What are some ways you serve as a result of your gifting?

5. Discuss the role of the Holy Spirit and His filling. Look up verses: 1) Power for witness Acts 1:8. 2.) Christ-likeness Gal. 5:22-26. 3) Growing in the understanding of God's Word John 16:12-15.

6. Read and discuss 1 Cor. 12:14-18. Variety sounds good, but why do we long for uniformity? In what ways do you feel inferior to others? God decides “who gets what.” What if you don’t like what God has given you? How does that spirit of independence hurt the church?

7. Read 1 Cor. 12:22-24 and discuss the private vs. public nature and value of ministry.

8. 1 Cor. 12:26 – How does someone else’s suffering hurt you?

9. Read and discuss the membership covenant.
