GOD HAS WIRED YOU LIKE NO ONE ELSE
Talents > the natural, innate things within you that you were born with (art, visual design, math, science, language, athletic, relationships, organization/admin, public speaking)

Gifts > the spirit given abilities that you could not possess without God’s grace (words of wisdom, acts of mercy, compassion, leadership, speaking into the future – prophesy, experiencing healing & miracles, or discernment).
“Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world.”
Saint Teresa of Avila
Today's Takeaway:
When believers use their gifts and talents as God directs, others will see Jesus and He will receive the credit.
• “given” or “has received” Greek: lambano “take into one’s own control and ownership”
• “each of you” Greek: hekastos “every single person, no one excluded”
• “gift” Greek: charisma “gift of faith, knowledge, holiness, virtue; grace-given gifts”
• “serve” or “even so minister” Greek: diakoneo “fanatically dedicated to doing their job at the highest level possible”
How can you maximize your gifts?
1- Learn about them in scripture (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4)
2- Pray that God would reveal your talents and gifts to you clearly
3- Seek ways to meet the needs of others
4- Look for the unique gifts IN others
5- Strive in excellence
Personal reflection this week ...
> Take time this week to consider the gifts and talents you’ve been given. Write them out and reflect on how you’ve seen each one used in your life.
> Determine the best ways each one can be used to serve others and glorify God.
