Welcome to Capital! We're glad you joined us. Enjoy the service. During the month of January we are praying and fasting for a year of increase. Since the beginning of our church in 1916, we have set our hearts to be a people of prayer. Our rally cry is simply, “Pray First.” In every situation, whether good or bad, we try to pray before we act. We are in our sweet spot when prayer is our first response, not our last resort. LEAD A CONNECT GROUP
Leading a Small Group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Hosting a group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it. We give you essential tools to make your Connect Group successful through Leader Training and a directory where you can register your group so others can find it easily. We believe people’s lives are changed one semester at a time by moving one step toward Christ, and as a Connect Group leader you get to play an important role in that process.If you have been thinking of leading a new group or have already been leading one but have not been to a training, we would love to have you join us. Growth Track
Growth Track guides you to discover your redemptive purpose and live the life God created for you. Growth Track is made up of four steps that equip you to 1) connect to the church, 2) discover the strengths of your purposeful design, 3) develop your personal leadership, and 4) use your God-given gifts to make a difference in the lives of others. Men's Breakfast
Men, young and old, are invited to a community breakfast on Saturday, January 25 at 9am in the Performing Arts Center. You will be inspired by Taro’s story as Mikuni is a Sacramento favorite.<br>When Taro was 11 years old, he saw little future in Japan and dreamed of moving to America. He got a paper route and, over five years, managed to save $6,000 so he and his family could emigrate to America. Working in his aunt’s restaurant in California, Arai said it was a chance encounter that made Mikuni, which means “kingdom of God,” possible. Taro is the author of Abundance: Finding the American Dream in a Japanese Kitchen. Arai said. “I keep dreaming of opening 20 restaurants and writing more books. Dreaming is free.”
