Making brave choices or foolish choices.
Foolishness says…
- Look at me…
- I can’t get hurt.
- I’m like superman. Nothing can harm me.
- I’m too gifted or talented. I can taunt fate because I’m so skilled.
- Anything I want to do I will do because I want to do it.
- To me belongs the glory and the spoils.
True spiritual bravery says…
- Consider God, not me.
- I am weak. He is strong.
- If I can help others, God will give me the ability.
- God has gifted me and with His help I can do this for Him.
- Anything God wills me to do, I can do.
- To God belongs the glory and the honor.
Think about the decisions we make on a daily basis:
- What can I do today that will honor God and bless others?
- How will I deal with conflict today? Will I face it with faith or will I run in fear?
- Is this decision I am going to make about me or is it about God? Is this decision based on my love for others or my love for myself?
- Is God opening the door or am I forcing the door open?
