Worship in Giving

https://k1.church/give
Sitting at the Feet of Jesus:

- To learn
- To change
- To grow
Beginning with the Beatitudes:

- Declare my true blessedness
- Acknowledge my paradoxical realities
- Abide in God's guaranteed promises
What does it mean to be "poor in spirit"?

- Without any righteousness of my own
- Without any resources to thrive spiritually
- Without any power to change my condition
- Without any will to do anything about it

In other words: I am spiritually bankrupt.
The process of declaring spiritual bankruptcy:

- Realize the reality of my condition.
- Confess my desperate need to God.
- Trust in God's amazing grace.
- Accept an eternal citizenship.
The Promise: "Theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven"

- The kingdom of Heaven = the kingdom of God
- Founded on Jesus as sovereign king
- A kingdom with upside-down values
- Both a present reality and a future fulfillment
To be a Blessed Disciple of the Kingdom Means I:

- Acknowledge my continued spiritual bankruptcy
- Declare loyalty to and dependence on my king
- Live as a model citizen of the kingdom
- Participate sacrificially in kingdom work
Are you blessed by being "Poor in Spirit" right now?
