“God’s promises are always a perfect match for our problems.” Lysa Terkeurst
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 - So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

FIGHTING YOUR WAY OUT

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1) Submit To God.

Every temptation is an invitation to depend on Christ.
Temptation:
Anything that promises satisfaction
at the cost of obedience to God.
2) Resist The Devil.

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

God’s Truth is the perfect protection against our enemy.

One of the best ways to resist temptation
is to eliminate it whenever you can.
Proverbs 4:14-15 - Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. 15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.

Why would I chose resisting temptation in the future, when I can eliminate it now?
Hebrews 2:18 - Because [Jesus] Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted
1 Corinthians 10:13-…And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
