So as we we’ve said throughout the series, hold your head up high, don’t fear no evil. Fix your eyes on this one truth, God is madly in love with you.
So take courage, hold on, be strong, remember where our help comes from.
- Good Grace, Elevation Worship
At the end of the day, when it comes to this subject of grace and goodness, the question we’ve all got to answer is; just exactly how much of what God tells us do we honestly believe?
Philippians gives us a God inspired recipe for eliminating negative thoughts, fears and worries that role around in the back of our minds harassing all of us:
Philippians 4:4-7 (NKJV) “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Something very significant that goes along with what Jesus told us in John 14 about not letting our hearts be troubled, is that He left us the Holy Spirit, or as Jesus calls Him, The Comforter.
As wonderful as all these truths are that Jesus gave us, none of them mean a thing if we continually refuse to believe what Jesus tells us. Seriously, what do you thing Jesus meant when He said things like: “According to your faith, let it be done” or “All things are possible to him that believes.”
For everyone born of Heaven, even though we’re designed to live this new way, until our thinking, our believing, our talking changes, our spiritual life will remain limited.
According to Jesus, we don’t ever have to live with worry, stress, anxiety, fear, even anger. But in order for any of this to be a reality, we have to make room in our thinking for the life God has for us.
Transformation is absolutely essential is because it is our nature to move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts. So make the grace of God, the goodness of God a regular part of our thinking.
Romans 12:2 (NLT)
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Our battles are waged in our soul, this means without exception our thinking will be the enemy’s primary target. And he will use anyone and any situation to manipulate our thinking.
Let’s not kid ourselves, the voices in our head that we yield to determine our future.
Isaiah 55:3 (MSG)
“Pay attention, come close now, listen carefully to my life-giving, life-nourishing words. I’m making a lasting covenant commitment with you, the same that I made with David: sure, solid, enduring love. I set him up as a witness to the nations, made him a prince and leader of the nations, And now I’m doing it to you.”
Here’s a revelation that will absolutely change your life:
God needs us to understand that He chose us, knowing our worst.
Because of His good grace, instead of trying to live up to some preconceived idea, we get to live out of divine acceptance.
This kind of living hinges on us making room in our thinking for a life in Christ. So from this day forward, don’t give the enemy another inch.
Whatever the situation is you’re facing, let God’s voice pierce through the doubt and fear.
Make today a turning point, right in the face of whatever that situation is. This means we’ve got to be intentional with our thinking.
Make a permanent address in your mind for God’s promises.
Unchecked thoughts are the soil for negativity and unbelief.God’s plans for any of us succeed or fail in our mind long before we see them.
Isaiah 43:19 (MSG)
This is what GOD says, Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
Isaiah repeatedly reminds us that the Lord goes before us, orchestrating our paths. I believe Jesus wants us to living such a life that the people we cross paths recognize something different about us.
Jesus actually told us that His purpose is to give us a better life than we’ve ever dreamed of. A life in abundance, to the full, till it overflows. But according to Isaiah, before we can trust, we have to listen to what God's Words says, it’s the foundation of our new life in Him.
Mark 4:24 (AMP)
Pay attention to what you hear. By your own standard of measurement, that is, to the extent that you study spiritual truth and apply Godly wisdom it will be measured to you and you will be given even greater ability to respond and more will be given to you besides.
The challenge every Christian faces is developing the faith to actually move out beyond human reasoning and actually trust Jesus. Remember, Abraham was fully convinced long before he ever saw or experienced anything God promised.
Living by faith means shaking off the doubt, the negativity, disappointment, the self-pity and make room for the God Life.
When it comes to Jesus and His promises, our role is to get rid of any kind of limited thinking. Wake up every day expecting His promises, good breaks, healing, restoration, favor.
Our attitude should be: God, I'm getting in agreement with you.

So stop telling yourself you can't. Replace the negative thoughts and the negative talk with what God says.
When we're in the middle of believing God for something, we should pay close attention to what the Lord is saying.
King David said:
All the LORD’s promises are true and perfect.
He arms me with strength, and He makes my way perfect. He has given me His shield of victory.
He has come down to me and made me great.

But when we follow David’s journey, there are so many opportunities that looked just the opposite in the natural.
Sometime the adversity we're facing is the very thing God will use.
Why not let God stretch our thinking, our dreaming, our expecting?
So let's make the choice today to get in agreement with what the Lord says.
So, Don’t let your heart be troubled. Hold your head up high, don’t fear no evil. Fix your eyes on this one truth, God is madly in love with you. So take courage, hold on, be strong, remember where our help comes from. Good grace, Good GOD, His name is JESUS!
