1. Read Exodus 12:33-34 Where did the idea of unleavened bread originate? Then read Exodus 13:7-8. Why did God command Israel to begin the tradition of the feast of unleavened bread?

2. What connection can you draw between the unleavened bread of the passover (or the last supper) and the leaven of the pharisees?

3. Read Mark 8:17-18. Why does Jesus ask if the hearts of his disciples are hardened?

4. Share with the group some things that you are currently tempted to worry about? Pray as a group for the recollection of God’s faithfulness, the reminders of his provision and together release those worries to him in prayer.

5. What area right now are you tempted to control the circumstances? Is it possible these areas are driven by pride (leaven, or hardening) to carry the entire weight alone?
