A faulty view of God, or of yourself = Reluctance to ask God to meet your needs
If you are reluctant to ask God, your loving Father in Heaven, to meet your needs, then you’re going to have to explain to Him why your reason is more valid than His clearly stated Word.

Matthew 6:9-13

“Whether we like it or not, asking is the rule of the Kingdom.” ~ Charles Spurgeon
“Why DON'T you ask God to meet your needs?”

What prevents you from asking God for your "daily bread," the things you need to sustain you day to day.... physically, emotionally, spiritually?
Motivation matters

James 4:1-3

If you want God to straighten out your motives for praying, you have to pray for that.
If you want God to teach you how to pray well, you have to learn by praying poorly.

2 Peter 1:3

Luke 11:5-9

Luke 11:11-13

We never outgrow “daily bread” prayer because there is never a time we’re not dependent on God.

Romans 8:31-32

If God, your Father in Heaven, thought enough of you, cared enough about you, to give His only Son for you, then why in the world wouldn’t He gladly supply for each of your daily needs?
What is preventing you from asking your Father in Heaven to meet your daily needs?
Who is your Provider? You or God?
“When we pray, ‘Give us today the food we need,’ we are acknowledging that God is our sustainer and provider. It is a misconception to think that we provide for our needs ourselves. We must trust God daily to provide what he knows we need.” ~ NLT Life Application Study Bible
Bottom Line:

Will you pray as Jesus told you to pray?
“If God had granted me all the silly prayers I’ve made in my life, where should I be now?” ~ C.S. Lewis
What if we prayed like Jesus told His disciples to pray?
As we learn how to depend on God for small things, everyday needs, then He will teach us how to rely on Him for our biggest needs of life and eternity.

Giving

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:6,7 Your giving fuels the ministry at New Life. Our only funding source is the generosity of those who call New Life "home".  Giving online through PayPal is secure and convenient, just follow the link!  THANK YOU!

Additional Ways to Give

Our church has provided two additional ways to help support the ministry through giving. The first is Text-to-Give. Text the dollar amount of your giving to 607-654-1039. After you setup your giving through this system you only have to text the amount! The Second is through our Secure Church Database using the link below.
