Expand1. Read Mark 14:32-36. Discuss how this passage shows the humanity of Jesus.
2. Why is it important that Jesus was both fully God and fully human? Is that a challenging thing to believe? Why or why not?
3. The “cup” that Jesus refers to in the Garden of Gethsemane was a metaphor that contained 2 things: 1) the sin of man, and 2) the wrath of God. Discuss the differences between the sin of man and the wrath of God. What does it mean that Jesus endured both?
4. Why did Jesus tell his disciples to “watch and pray”? Talk about the 3-Stage Process of Sin: Fight, Sin, and Response. Have you seen this cycle play out in your own life?
5. Discuss the main point from the message this week: “There’s no wrath left for you.” How have you viewed the wrath of God in different seasons of your life? How do you view the wrath of God currently?
6. How have you responded to your sin in different ways throughout your life? How have these responses been healthy or unhealthy?
7. What’s the difference between how God views your sin and how he views you?
