Since 1963, we've been busy helping people find their way back to God! Mars Hill is an amazing church where you can experience joy and laughter. It is a place where the Scriptures are taught in a way that enocurages discussion and questions. It is also a place where the brokenhearted can find healing.

This four-week series explores four emotional themes found in the Psalms, detailing what they mean for our relationship with God today. “Blues. Soul. Funk. - Summer in the Psalms” discusses God’s delight in our joy, his presence in our sadness, his understanding in our anger, and his eagerness to forgive the penitent.
Blues is an African-American music that traverses a wide range of emotions and musical styles. “Feeling blue” is expressed in songs whose verses lament injustice or express longing for a better life and lost loves, jobs, and money.
Definition of soul music: Music that originated in African American gospel singing, is closely related to rhythm and blues, and is characterized by intensity of feeling and vocal embellishments.
Funk is a music genre that originated in African-American communities in the mid-1960s when African-American musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of soul music, jazz, and rhythm and blues (R&B).
