In what ways have you seen others “lay down their life” for you?
How does it impact you when you are loved like that by another person?
What does the fact that Jesus laid down His life for you communicate to you?
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We will never be able to consistently and sacrificially love others until we take in and experience the Perfect Love Jesus has for us. Think about and possibly describe what your experience of God’s love has been like up to now.
