The main ethic of the Kingdom of God is love.
Ephesians 5:1-2

Paul's example is Jesus...his submission to God expressed through self-sacrifice.

Husbands: Love your wives in the same way Jesus loves the church.

Our new founding principle becomes "submit to one another out of reverence for Christ."

Wives: Submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

What do we do when God's Word doesn't make sense to us?
1. Humble ourselves very carefully asking the Holy Spirit for clarity.
2. Refuse to give in to the "Twitter theology."

Children/Parents: Obey your parents. Don't exasperate your children.

Obey your masters as you would the Lord. And treat your slaves in the same way.

We are one in Christ... Galatians 3:26-29
We are one body in Christ... 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

The most effective way we can change the world is to live life submitted to Jesus... this plays out when we submit to one another.

The roles God has put in place aren't to suppress us.
There are promises that bear blessings when I live a life of submission to Jesus and to others.
