The Elders are to anoint the sick person and pray for them

The need to CONFESS (v15-16a)
- The prayer offered in faith will restore the sick one
- God does heal
- This is based on God’s will (1 John 5:4) and it is not always God’s will to heal
- If he committed sins, they will be forgiven him
- This refers to specific sin which has caused the illness
- If this is due to sin God promises to heal and to forgive

The TRUST for the Sickness
God could heal us!
God could give us grace to endure the sickness!
God could take us home
