"Walk the Walk"

Paul says that we are to walk according to the example we have in him and those who are likeminded. That is, when we become Christians, our walk is now in the complete opposite direction than it was before we were born again. It seems all too easy to claim Christ and keep on our present path. However, this is not possible for a true Christian. One who has been seized by the Spirit of God must find in Him a new path. One of righteousness and holiness. Therefore, he’s now able to walk the walk marked out by our Lord Jesus Christ before the foundation of the world.

1. What does it mean to “walk the walk?”

2. Discuss Eph. 4:1; 5:15; 1 Thess. 4:12; and 1 John 1:7. What do we learn about our walk?

3. How much has your walk changed since you gave your heart to Christ?

4. Paul emphasizes the need to follow the example of other likeminded Christians. What would another find beneficial in following you?

5. We find that in order to walk with the Lord we must know His Word. Are you able to process meat? Or are you still drinking milk?

6. Discuss sanctification as it relates to John 17:17.
