Navigating from Discouragement to Delight
· Internal contributors of discouragement.
· External contributors of discouragement.
· Discouragement toward God
· Left unanswered, discouragement can turn to doubt.
I cry out to God; yes, I shout.Oh, that God would listen to me! When I was in deep trouble, I searched for the Lord. All night long I prayed, with hands lifted toward heaven,but my soul was not comforted I think of God, and I moan,overwhelmed with longing for his help. (v1-3 NLT)
Days of great trouble must be days of great prayer.
The cure for discouragement is dependency God
> God’s Promise of safe passage.
> God’s Provision of partnership on the journey.
But then I recall all you have done, O Lord;I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts.I cannot stop thinking about your mighty work. (v11-12 NLT)
God doesn’t need us to engage…
… WE NEED US TO ENGAGE.
1) Pray. Then pray again like you believe it.
I cried out to God with my voice—To God with my voice;And He gave ear to me. (v1 NKJV)
2) Remember. Recount God’s Goodness.
I will remember the works of the Lord. Surely I will remember yourwonders of old. (v11 NJKV)

O God, your ways are holy.Is there any god as mighty as you? You are the God of great wonders!You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations.
