Discovering God's Will Pt. 2

Part 1 Review:
The Will of God is His:
1. Foreordained plans and purposes
2. Gracious disposition towards us
3. Desire for a people or person
Discovering God's will involves:
1. PURPOSE (Realize He has a plan for YOU!)
2. PURSUIT (Walk in the light He's already provided.)
3. POSTURE (Obey without delay each step of the way)

4. PRAYER (Exercise your faith.)

Anxious = distracted or solicited

• Prayer centers our hearts on God.
• Prayer settles our hearts on God.
• Prayer involves talking and listening.

5. PEOPLE (Get advice/feedback from others.)

counsel = steerage, guidance, a plan
counselors = advisors
safety = rescue, deliverance, or victory

• Who has been where you are?
• Who possesses wisdom and maturity?
• Who is truly invested in you?

6. PRAISE (Thank God while on the journey.)

• Thank Him for past & present blessings
• Thank Him for new opportunities

Steps to take when an opportunity presents itself:
What if I move? What if I don't move?
Worst that could happen? Worst that could happen?
Best that could happen? Best that could happen?
