Confession/Absolution

Pastor: As the family of God, we turn to our Heavenly Father in our prayer of confession.
All: Father in heaven, we thank You for the loved ones You give us. We confess that too often our faults and failings are most apparent in those relationships where love and service should be offered most readily—in our homes and families. Forgive us, Father, and help us to grow in love for one another as we share Your forgiveness.
Pastor: In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for His sake God forgives all our sins. Therefore, in the name of Jesus I tell you that Your sins are forgiven. Go and put your faith into practice through love and service. Live the new life that Jesus brings. Share His forgiveness with your spouse, your parents, your children and the family of Christ.
