Genesis 8:22 - 22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 - For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
Life is a series of seasons. We all go through many different seasons in life...you can probably think of some you’ve been through or one you’re in right now.
TRUTHS ABOUT SEASONS IN LIFE
1. SEASONS INCLUDE BOTH GOOD AND BAD TIMES
Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 - 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance 5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
Don’t get so focused on the negative in your season that you miss what God is doing in your season.

Many times we can’t see the good until we look back because we were too focused on the negative.
2. SEASONS ARE BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Daniel 2:21-22 - 21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;

If they are beyond our control...we can relax a little...quit stressing out. God set up the seasons and times, and he changes the seasons and times.
3. SEASONS DON’T LAST FOREVER
Just like the seasons of life are cyclical...if you feel stuck in a season realize you don’t have to stay in that season forever.

Paul in a tough season said - 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 - 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR EACH SEASON
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT - 11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

When you’re tempted to believe the season is never going to end, and you just can’t stand it any longer, make a decision to believe God’s Word more than you believe what you think and feel – no matter how things look!
Romans 8:28 NLT - 8 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

QUESTIONS TO ASK IN THE SEASON YOU’RE IN

1. WHAT CAN I LEARN IN THIS SEASON?
This is one of the greatest keys to embracing the season you’re in is to ask God...what can I learn? When we go through good or bad times, there’s always something to learn in it.

• James 5:7-8 - 7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. 8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

• Romans 5:3-4 NIV - we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Persevering means you remain under the circumstances while moving forward. Learning in the season. If you’re still in a tough season, you still may have things to learn.
2 Corinthians 1:9-10 NLT - 9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. 10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.
2. WHAT CAN I DO IN THIS SEASON?
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

If this becomes your response in any season your growth will be exponential. You’ll begin to deepen your roots...like we talked about before roots are necessary to growth.

Colossians 2:7 NLT - 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Psalm 1:3 NLT - 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
YOU CAN GROW IN ANY SEASON IF YOU LEARN TO EMBRACE IT
