As We Go


Key Truth: Our God is a SENDING God!

(John 20:21) “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.’”

Three Questions To Ask As We Go:

Am I FOR my community?

(Romans 8:31–32a) “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all.”

(Mark 6:35–37a) “And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, ‘This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late. Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.’ But he answered them, ‘You give them something to eat.’”

Prayer—"Father, break my HEART with what breaks yours.”

Am I WITH my community?

(John 1:14) “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Prayer—"Father, change where I STAND so I see what You see.”

Am I OF my community?

(Hebrews 4:15–16a) “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace.”
Prayer—"Father, draw me in and SEND me out!”

A Time to Remember—We GO because He CAME!

(Matthew 26:26–28) “Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, ‘Take, eat; this is my body.’ And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.’”
