How Can I see God? // Frank Lucas
Paul had many people in his life that could have treated him poorly. They heard of all the things that Paul had done before hand and still treated him like he was one of them. We all have stuff that we could be hated for, yet God still shows us grace and love. As his followers, we need to show others the grace we have been shown. We show others what God is like when we love others like he did.

How do we see God?
We see God through others, just as other see God through us.

AT SOME POINT YOU NEED TO GO FROM BEING SIMPLY THE RECIPIENT OF GRACE AND CARE TO BECOMING A STRATEGIC ACTOR IN SOMEONE ELSE’S STORY

Give Online

The word "tithe" literally means tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn't merely giving something to God. It's giving back what was his to begin with. All that we have, or hope to have, comes from him. The Bible says that we worship God with tithing as a reminder that God is the supplier of everything. It teaches us to always put God first in our lives.

Prayer Request?

We believe that Prayer is powerful and can change the world – not just for today but for generations to come. We believe that lives and whole communities are changed forever when we lift up our needs to God in prayer. Please let us know if there is something you would like us to pray for.  (Please specify if this is a private request so it is not distributed on our church-wide e-prayer newsletter)

West Virginia Relief
Expand
Our church has a great opportunity to serve the people in West Virginia who are beginning to recover from the worst flooding in that area in over a century. Three days of flooding left 24 people dead and a state of emergency was declared in 44 out of 55 counties in the state. Many of the residents of this area live in poverty, and losing their homes and possessions is a devastating event for them. We have joined forces with a group from RI hoping to send 3 trailers of canned goods and supplies to West Virginia in the next few weeks.
As Pastor Brandon shared with us on Sunday, you can help by donating a bag of canned goods or making a monetary donation over the next 2 weeks. All money donated will be used to purchase supplies and building materials from local vendors. Checks can be made out to CCC with a note that it is for “WV Relief”, and an area will be set up in the church lobby to collect the canned goods.
Just as we have done in the past with the tent drive for Haiti and the Ebola supply collection, we are praying we can generously respond to this emergency and help our neighbors in West Virginia. Please spread the word and help us bless others. Let’s see if we can fill one of those trailers with canned goods!
